Warrender Park Road

This project for Mr. Ian Wall, a client we had previously worked for some 20 years ago when he first arrived in Edinburgh. The bathroom was designed by William Tunnell Architects in South Queensferry.

This was a tricky project in some ways, trying to achieve a contemporary feel in an existing bathroom which was not only long and thin but whose walls were lined with antique tiles which also had to be preserved.
William Tunnell designed some simple but sleek glass bespoke screens and walnut timber linings, which pass over the tiles. New light panels behind the shower screen and at high level give a diffuse underwater light and enhance the greeny hues in the tiling.
