Dalmeny Stair
These are images and a couple of workshop drawings of a new stair for clients in Dalmeny.
The stair was designed by Architects Sutherland and Hussey.
The property was being refurbished and two flats were to be combined into a single accommodation.
The stair rose on the line of the former party wall and at the original double entrance area.
We constructed the stair from our site survey entirely in the workshops. We also constructed the curved stud wall that follows the arc of the stair.
The entire assembly was then taken apart and reconstructed permanently on site, the walls were sheeted with a bendy plasterboard material and left for plastering and final decoration by the site contractors.
