Reception and Bar
Inscape was invited to tender for the construction and installation of the main bar and the reception area at the Dundee City Arts Centre. The building was designed by Richard Murphy Architects and built by local builders Torith.
The detailed construction drawings were produced for Inscape, by former employee Patrick Bankhead who also co-ordinated the whole project on site.
The biggest difficulty to overcome was the fact that our works were in central parts of the building at a time when the building project as a whole was behind schedule and all efforts were being taken to get it completed Many different contractors worked over us and between us as our work proceeded. Despite the problems our work was finished on schedule and the unqualified success of the bar in the years since is testament to the quality of the work as well as to the design itself.
