House Refurbishment

This project was a whole house refurbishment for architects Oliver Chapman.

The client was an artist herself and every detail of the work was thought out and executed to exacting standards. From a new Indian stone floor in the lower hallway and a wine cellar tucked into the solum space the entire project was overseen by client Whitney Byng.

New walnut floors were layed in the ground floor apartments and Inscape manufactured the study desk unit and the sliding partition doors in walnut veneer.

The central space between the front living room and the rear kitchen area formerly a hive of cupboard spaces was demolished and rebuilt, lining it on three sides in black glass. The glass itself concealing cupboard units behind housing a drinks cabinet complete with an inner leather lined drop down door flap and on the other side the glass fronted doors open and then slide into the cabinetry to reveal a large american style fridge freezer.

The kitchen and the livingroom shelving units were supplied and fitted by Edinburgh furniture maker Alistair Gall.
