Inscape have successfully negotiated a new contract with William Tunnell Architects to remodel the rear portion of a substantial town house on Inverleith Terrace in Edinburgh.

This will be the fourth project we will have undertaken with the practice.

The project will rationalise the ground floor utility area of the property and completey remodel the upper apartement to take advantage of commanding views over the botanic gardens to the city centre beyond which lay tantalisingly on the other side of the existing gable.

The architects have designed a new overhanging steel balcony cut through the stone gable and accessed via three folding timber and glass screens. Internally a study area will be completed with the construction of a series of furniture pieces comprising bespoke desk, shelving and storage space and a new concealed stair.

The project will start on site at the end of April
