At their annual award ceremony this year our project in West Mayfield, Edinburgh for Architects OCA and clients George and Maggie Ross was awarded top prize in the category 'Best Small Project'.
This is Britain's premier competition for work in wood and against excellent competition we are very pleased to have been chosen for this award.
Details of the decision have still to be published but our clients view is that the project 'is a very beautiful, but essentially practical, domestic structure which exactly meets the requirements of the client'.
From our perspective we are delighted with the award but the commendation of the client is what keeps us in business. We are sure we will work for George and Maggie for many years to come and look forward to it. Our best publicity, over the years, has always come from the architects and the clients we have worked for, most of whom we continue to work for.
