Another year over and a new one to begin... We have seen many of the people we work with and companies around us affected badly by the current recession. People we have got to know well whose jobs are under threat and others already redundant facing a very uncertain year ahead.
Much of the work we do is commissioned many months ahead and as such our order book still looks strong, although we have seen several prospective jobs shelved because of the uncertainty everywhere.
So we move cautiously into the new year but buoyed by the loyalty shown to us by former clients who keep in touch and still seek our advice or expertise from time to time. One such client who telephoned recently asked Gail how we were doing workwise ' I could always find you a couple of weeks work if you are struggling' she said. Another client told Gail he hoped the lights of Inscape Joinery would be the last to be turned off during the crisis!
We hope it doesn't get that far but it is the sentiment that means so much to us. One client who was also asking how we were faring told us that we had reaffirmed her belief in builders - no less.
Merry Christmas to all of you and our very best wishes for the coming year. Lets hope the building trade can prosper because so much else follows on from that.
