The World of Football!

October 2008

Two teams from Inscape fought a competitive match of 5 a side football on Friday afternoon at the World of Football in Chesser.
The teams captained by Paul (nelly) Nelson and Mark (sparky) Evans, displayed a deceptive level of skill often too quick even for the lens of our camera.
The final result was marred by the injury of Fraser Campbell, our driver, who broke a bone in the lower part of his leg following a mistimed tackle with only 5 minutes of the game remaining.
The teams were:
The Allermuir Squad - Mark; Steve (Tiler); Fraser; Darren; Shawn.
The New Battle Crew - Paul; Craig (Tiler); Aidan; Daniel; Dale.

When Fraser first got the van the engine was spluttering. He took it back to the garage and within a couple of minutes the mechanic had it running smoothly. "What's the story?" asked Fraser. "Just crap in the carburettor" said the mechanic. "Right" said Fraser - "How often should I do that?" Posted by Steve, 18/10/08
