
'There is a lot to do in Liddypool, but not all convenience' one of its more famous sons once wrote. I wonder what John Lennon would say now? Could he ever have imagined they would name the airport after him (he called it 'Shout Airborne') and that so much of the city would reflect the times he and his friends spent there?
Liverpool in A.D. 2008 is again forward looking, it's a dynamic place reveling in its history and at the same time renewing itself and making its way in the new century as it has done through all the previous 800 years of its existence.
The pictures here concentrate on the seafront; the river and its buildings have defined the city for so long but there is much more to Liverpool than this and its greatest asset is probably the character of the people themselves, the Scousers. Wha's like us?
