Nearly four months on and our project in Woodhall Road, Edinburgh is taking shape.
The new external walls are being built using Doddington stone, quarried near the village of Doddington in Northumberland. This was the stone the main house was originally built from.
Half the steel is already installed with the rest due to arrive in two weeks time.
All the demolition is now complete including the first floor 'box' extension which had been a later and unsympathetic addition to the house. The photos note these stages of the work and in particular they show this elevation of the house almost peeled open, waiting for the tailor.
