Work to Pembroke Place, a previous RIBA award winning project continues with the fifth incarnation of the kitchen in almost as many years and the landscaping of the rear garden.
The kitchen was altered to accommodate the purchase of a large American style fridge freezer. Space was maximised in the kitchen as far as possible by the ingenious use of plinth space and recessed corners that might more easily have been sheeted over. A small and previously awkward cupboard below the sink was turned into a more accessible and useful deep drawer with the use of filing cabinet drawer runners.
The sense of space in the small south facing rear garden was maximised by excavating a lower patio area and privacy was maintained with the combination of willow hurdle fence panels by Forest Ltd and contemporary mild steel fence posts designed by Inscape and manufactured by Bow Engineering.
